Edwardsville, IL, September 6th, 2017 – Granite City High School (GCHS) in Granite City, Illinois has signed a multi-year sports marketing agreement with Sports Media Group (SMG). Along with signing this agreement comes many benefits that GCHS won’t take for granted; such as creating a big-time feel for Warrior fans, while also generating revenue from their new Digital Scorer’s Table.
Upon signing the sports marketing agreement, Granite City will be able to start reaping the benefits of their partnership with SMG. The Warriors now have an interactive, digital score table that can bring the school extra funds through static and dynamic inventory available on the table. SMG is different from other sports marketing companies because SMG assumes responsibility for finding sponsors, on GCHS’s behalf, so that the Athletic Director and other personnel can focus on their day-to-day duties and not have to worry about thinking of creative fundraisers to expand their already tight budgets. As part of the agreement, all that GCHS is responsible for is connecting their scorers table to wifi once a week to receive new ads that SMG has sold, and display the table at all home events for the Warriors’ fans and guests to see. For this, GCHS will receive a percentage of all ad revenue that SMG generates.
The GCHS Warriors’ new Digital Scorer’s Table will span 16’ long with 100” of digital space to display ad content, messages for fans from sponsors, and offers from local businesses. With their 16’ table, comes 4 static signs that serve as an opportunity for community businesses or any organization to have a constant presence in front of the audience. With both digital and static media types available, this creates a mix of inventory opportunities for both large and small advertisers.
